Q. What is your payment policy?
A. For musical arrangements, the standard policy is to send half of the total up front, and half upon completion of the show. For clinics and other services that include a staff member traveling to your school, payment should be received the day of the provided service. While these procedures are preferred, we understand limits and differences of various school budgets, and will work with you to come up with a successful solution.

Q. How long does it take to compose and show?
A. This time period depends on various factors, such as the difficulty level of the show, whether it is an arrangement or original composition, etc. Generally, show composition can take anywhere from one to two months. In a jam for a show? For a fee, Standing ‘O’ - Marching Arts Specialists will expedite your composition to meet your needs.

Q. What do I receive when I purchase a musical arrangement from Standing ‘O’ - Marching Arts Specialists?
A. You will receive a score and parts for each instrument in the form of PDF files. In addition, you will receive midi files of the show for your percussion arrangers, and mp3 files to play for your students.

Q. Are percussion parts available?
A. Absolutely. Whether or not we write your horn parts, Standing ‘O’ - Marching Arts Specialists can be hired to write both battery and/or pit books to compliment the capabilities of your performers.

Q. Can I commission Standing ‘O’ - Marching Arts Specialists to write only one or two movements of my show?
A. Yes. Standing ‘O’ - Marching Arts Specialists will write any amount of music desired, and will arrange it accordingly to fit the current themes and style your show already includes.

Q. What do I do about copyright laws for musical arrangements?
A. In order to make an arrangement of any piece that is not in the public domain, permission must be granted by the publisher of the desired work. This is a relatively simple process, but can take anywhere from three weeks to two months to get a reply from the publisher, depending on the piece selected. When purchasing an original show from Standing 'O', all copyright performance rights are included. When purchasing an arrangement of a piece not in the public domain, it is the responsibility of the client to handle all copyright related matters. For a minimal fee, Standing 'O' will handle these matters for you.

Q. What are your clinic/consultant prices based on?
A. Standing ‘O’ - Marching Arts Specialists is proud to maintain a skilled and experienced staff to help your band. The charge for clinics and other services is based on the experience level in both performance and education aspects of the staff member. While all of our staff members will provide your band with a product to help them achieve their maximum potential, our top clinicians offer more knowledge and experience to help your students achieve the success they strive for.
