Mike Belskis

Mike Belskis earned his Bachelor Degree in music education from Temple University . He began his drum corps career in 1996 in the Jersey Surf pit under the direction of Bill “Woody” Woodward and Chet Tietsworth. In 1997, he joined the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps under the direction of Jim Ancona, Jack Mansager, Colin McNutt, and Thom Hannum, and aged out with the Crossmen in 2000 as the pit captain. After aging out, he joined the Crossmen as a pit tech in the 2001 season. Since then, Mike has taught various successful percussion sections and marching bands throughout the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Region including Triton high school in Runnemede, NJ, who established a dynasty of success, including the title of the 2003 WGI Scholastic World Concert East Regional Champions. Mike is currently the Band Director at Sterling High School in Somerdale, NJ, and is a member of the Vic Firth Education team. |
