Mike Bishop

Mike Bishop currently resides in the Dayton, OH area as the Front Ensemble Caption Head & Arranger for Bellbrook High School in Bellbrook, OH.
Mike was a member of the Jersey Surf Drum and Bugle Corps from Berlin, NJ from 2002-2005, serving as the Front Ensemble Captain in 2005. From 2006-2008 he was a member of the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, from Fort Mill, SC, with the latter two years under the Beddis Team. Mike began his Winter Guard International career in 2002 in the Percussion Independent Open Class with Riptide Percussion from Camden County, NJ. In 2003, Riptide became United Percussion, and Mike became Front Ensemble Captain in 2004, and stayed with the organization through the 2008 season, collecting two bronze and a gold medal in Percussion Independent Open Class, and helped further the group into Percussion Independent World Class Finals. He wrapped up his WGI career in 2009 with a WGI World Championship in Rhythm X from Columbus, OH.
He was also on the staff of the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps Front Ensemble in 2009, under the direction and guidance of Brent Montgomery, Tom Aungst, and Neil Larivee. For 2010, Mike has joined Team Beddis and finished off a great season with Redline Percussion, an WGI Percussion Independent World ensemble from Canton, MI, and is looking forward great summer with the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, serving as a Front Ensemble Technician.
