*This version of "Volcano" was commissioned by Sterling High School in Somerdale, NJ. This reduced instrumentation version (written for about 20 winds) ensures all of the excitement of the full instrumentation version, while accomodating a smaller band.

Volcano is a five part thrill ride (played in three movements) that goes through the stages of a volcanic eruption. This show is filled with countless music and visual effect moments.

1. Dormancy - Painting a tranquil picture of a village people going about their daily routine.

2. Calm Before Chaos, Tremors - A quick ballad movement which leads directly into the third movement, where wind and percussion effects create the feeling of "tremors."

3. Eruption, Dormancy - The volcano has its final eruption.
